Jenny receives first-ever American Cancer Society award

PROUD SURVIVOR (April 15, 2008) -- Jenny shares a special moment with fellow Long Beach resident Carol Jackson, chair of the board for the American Cancer Society's California Division. Jackson introduced Jenny during an award ceremony where the cancer-fighting group recognized Jenny's years-long leadership in fighting cancer, highlighted with her ban on smoking in cars with kids, which took Jan. 1, 2008 after a three-year battle. The state award was the first-ever for leadership bestowed by the nationwide group. Jenny holds the nearly foot-tall award as about 120 ACS supporters attend the event near the Capitol, vieweable at top. More photos HERE.
